Amigurumi Fun

Amigurumi Snails

How it all started. This is my very first amigurumi design. But to go even further. I used to paint and one of my favorite themes was to paint shells, all kinds. This painting for instance is from the year 2006. I don´t have many left, but luckily one is hanging on my wall. Took a photo with my amigurumi snails. Perfect match I guess :) This tiny amigurumi snail pattern was the first pattern that I uploaded on Etsy. And my first buyer was a lady from Australia. Greetings to Australia! :)

For me, amigurumi is one way to express myself. I like to take photos and make videos. God knows I have tons of them, I´m being more consistent with posting them for the past couple of months. :) Like many designers my mind works on another project when working on the current one. I´m more determined now and hopefully more proficient in posting them and inspiring somebody to start making toys.

As said, this design is from the year 2010, in 2020 I also used poppers.

Please have a look:

Very cute I find

And the video how to coil up and amigurumi snail

You can see a lot more in one of my previous posts: amigurumi snails in process

This time I made 7 amigurumi snails in total.  What´s great about this pattern is that it is quite forgiving as to mistakes and you can use different colors, put your own creativity into work. They make such a lovely gift, children can play with them, they also make lovely decorations on your plants, etc.

Amigurumi tiny snail is also available on my Ravely shop if you like to keep your patterns there. And it´s a plus, I can also see your projects.

Using sew-on snap buttons gives the possibility to uncoil and coil them up again. I also show how to coil it up with yarn.

And for fun:

When the snail fits it sits.

Instead of flowers maybe?!

And there is a thing that I haven´t mentioned before. You can just leave it like this. When a little break is needed at the office just coil it and let go of all the bad feelings. And then hop, it uncoils

Thank you for stopping by

Anime Toys - My Neighbor Totoro - Crochet Amigurumi Totoro Toys

A New Handmade Totoro Family - Crochet Amigurumi Totoro Toys

I´ve crocheted a Totoro Family before, oh, already two years ago, time flies :)
I used Lucy´s  Totoro patterns again, I did some changes on White Totoro though.
I never get tired of this film: My Neighbor Totoro, total classic.
And of course Alpaca yarn, Drops Puna for Blue and Grey Totoro and Austermann Alpaca Silk yarn for White Totoro. 2,5mm crochet hook and black safety eyes and again, lots of stuffing.
It took ma a whole week to crochet them up, but I´m really pleased with the result.
Grey Totoro about 20 cm, Blue Totoro about 18 cm and White Totoro about 12 cm.

I like them a lot, hope you too!

Amigurumi Lamb and Purple Storage Basket

Amigurumi Sheep

Lexie Lamb enjoys being photographed. I just felt like taking those photos this weekend, because everybody needs time for themselves and suddenly I discovered myself going trough Buddha quotes and found one for me for this weekend: "your work is to discover your world and then with all your heart give yourself to it."
I designed Amigurumi Sheep Pattern just a year ago and I like it a lot. This crochet toy doesn´t need much yarn and pattern is easy to follow with step by step photos.

And doing handmade gifts. It was a nice request from a 8 year old girl who wanted a purple storage basket for herself because I´ve done several for birthdays and one for her sister as well. It´s just lovely! Purple storage basket almost done. I´m using cotton tube (80% recycled cotton) and pure linen yarn (greenish) to make this storage basket.

It´s October in Estonia and nature is offereing beautiful colors this time of year! Hope to capture that as well :)

New Amigurumi Pattern - Amigrumi White Cat Design - named Bianca

New Amigurumi Cat Pattern is out now.

New Amigurumi Pattern

I´m happy to present a new Amigurumi Cat design. Cat named Bianca is now available on my Etsy Shop
I used 2,5 mm crochet hook and Debbie Bliss Rialto DK, extrafine Merino Wool Superwash yarn, 8 ply, 2 balls. You can also use bigger crochet hook and a different yarn, your Amigurumi Cat will be just bigger. Always take one size smaller crochet hook than written on a yarn label for amigurumi toys.
Size with 2,5 mm crochet hook would be approx. 27 cm/10,6inc. I used 12mm hand painted safety eyes with slit pupil and 12mm safety nose. If you vary colors you can use the same pattern to have different results.
